Vallarta's blue bay, green mountains and colourful charm bring visitors back year after year. With a variety of resorts and plenty to do, Vallarta is the choice of romantic couples, fun-loving singles and value-conscious families.
Shop for handicrafts along the cobblestone streets of the Old Town. Ride horseback through the hills around the bay or cruise to a secluded beach along the coast. Stroll along the beachfront Malecon as the sun sets. Sample some of the best restaurants in Mexico, and then, whether you're young or old, gay or straight, taste some of Old Vallarta's diverse nightlife.
Some moderate hotels are conveniently located in the Old Town but the main Hotel Zone is along the better beaches along the bay. The newest and most luxurious all-inclusive resorts are clustered around the Marina or just outside of town at Riviera Nayarit.
If you enjoy dining out, take advantage of Vallarta's great restaurants and opt for a basic flight and hotel package. However, if convenience and value are important, an all-inclusive is best.
