Hedonistic, laid-back and a bit raffish, Negril is famous for it's long, white beach and easy-going ways. Originally a popular hangout for hippies, Negril now features luxurious resorts, clothing optional beaches and visitors looking for some fun in the sun.
Stroll along Seven Mile Beach, stopping for an occasional dip in the sea or a bite at an open-air restaurant. Dive into the clear water for some of the best scuba and snorkeling in Jamaica. Watch the sun set from Rick's Café overlooking the West End cliffs and get a taste of Negril's hippie roots.
Moderate, traditional hotels are clustered around old Negril with the newer, more luxurious options strung out along Seven Mile Beach. Most of the adult-only resorts feature clothing optional bars, hot tubs and swimming pools and are at the north end of the beach.
Since hanging out at the beach or in the hot tub is the main reason visitors come to Negril, choose a resort that best fits your style. Most resorts are all-inclusive but some smaller West End hotels are not.
