Our concept of Discount Travel began in 1986 with the creation of Jet Vacations Ltd. which later became Discount Travel Warehouse. The idea for Jet Vacations Ltd. came from the discount travel shops of Great Britain and Australia. These discount shops provide the general public access to inexpensive last minute flights usually in return for a membership fee.
Jet Vacations was created to provide the same alternatives to Canadians with a slight twist. Jet Vacations decided to provide discounts on a year round basis on all charter flights and vacations with no club fees or membership requirements.
Our first office was opened in August of 1986, and from day one Jet Vacations offered a guaranteed discount off the brochure price of all charter flights and vacation packages offered by most leading travel suppliers and cruise lines.
Jet Vacations / Discount Travel Warehouse has grown due to the support of our clients and the hard work of our staff. Jet Vacations / Discount Travel Warehouse remains committed to providing the travelling public with a professional full service alternative to regular travel agencies at a price well below the brochure rates.
When Jet Vacations begin in 1986 the competition predicted our fast demise. Over eighteen years has past and Jet Vacations / The Discount Travel Warehouse is now one of Canada's largest leisure based travel agencies.
